Isaiah 32:1-3 NLT
Look, a righteous king is coming! And honest princes will rule under him.
Each one will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm,
like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a parched land.
Then everyone who has eyes will be able to see the truth, and everyone who has ears will be able to hear it.
Matthew 2:1-2 NLT
Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod.
About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem,
asking, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.”
Let’s debunk a common myth – the bible never said there were three wise men.
There were just three gifts given, which made people believe this.
Human beings often worship something or someone, which is usually their idol or king.
I pray that you will see Jesus and you will be wise enough to worship him.
Make him your King – placing him above everything and everyone else, your priority.
It is wise to make Jesus Christ your king, worship him, praise him and adore him.
As we approach Christmas, think about this: who is the King in your life?
It is fundamental these days to be able to see, hear and discern the truth.
Why? It’s because there is an unbelievable amount of information out there,
and not all of it is true. If you make Jesus King in your life, you will be able to see the truth.
John 8:12 NLT
Jesus spoke to the people once more and said,
“I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness,
because you will have the light that leads to life.”
Do you know why people put up lights at Christmas?
Its because Jesus is the light. You need light to see the truth. Theres only one truth.
John 14:6 NLT
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
These days people have eyes but cannot see and ears but cannot hear.
Jeremiah 5:21 NLT
Listen, you foolish and senseless people, with eyes that do not see and ears that do not hear.
Let’s remind ourselves today that our King should be Jesus.
He is a righteous king, the foundation of his throne is righteous.
Psalm 89:14 NLT
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne.
Unfailing love and truth walk before you as attendants.
He is the king that will not let his subject suffer,
a king that protects, and a King that keeps his promises.
