The Lord is not happy with the kind of laws we are passing these days.
Sexual laws, transgender laws, LGBT laws.
The Lord isn’t happy about how we treat our children and
how we call good evil and evil good. It’s time to repent from our ways.
Evil thrives when good men keep quiet. Preach the gospel – word of good news and peace.
We need to wake up. We have the opportunity to know the Lord.
It’s humbling knowing the Lord. I pray that the Lord will give us the boldness to speak out.
When you’re under the inspiration of the holy spirit, you can do amazing things.
Basically the hole of Romans was God breath.
Romans 8:1-3 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.
And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has
freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature.
So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like
the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control
over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.
The problem is the flesh – you. The moment a law is given,
you automatically circumvent it. ‘The one who made the pencil is the one who made the eraser.’
The moment you present the word if truth to your flesh (your body, mind, intellect and reasoning),
you have made a grave mistake. The law is made weak because of the flesh.
‘Even justice is not found in the court.’
God is saying you need to put reasoning to death.
You need to have the spirit of God to know why God gave one law or another.
The moment you subject the word of God to the reasoning of a human being
you will arrive at a place called death. Common sense doesn’t seem to be so common anymore.
The holy spirit is given to those to place their faith in Jesus Christ.
The holy spirit is given to you so you can remember the truth, so that it can help you,
so you can discern scripture, and so you can understand the mind of God. The holy spirit gives life.
Why then do you rely on the law? If you rely on the law, it will become weak. God’s law is really a blessing.
In politics now, they are debating if they should make God gender neutral.
Don’t bother debating, because when you start, you will go down
this rabbit hole which leads to death. The mind of human beings can’t understand the mind of God.
Do you think you in your human mind can understand God’s greatness?
Where do you even begin? People want to use that same mind to divide truth and lie.
Do you know the depth of the ocean? How many animals in the ocean?
The number of grains of sand if the shore? Even the number of hairs on your head?
Jesus said he knows the number of hair on our heads.
Pray for discernment and understanding of the word and laws of God.
One of the most profound questions asked in the bible was what is truth.
Truth transcends facts. When Jesus walked on water he was showing his divinity.
Let’s read more of Romans 8.
Romans 8:4-14
He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us,
who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.
Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things,
but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.
So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death.
But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.
For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws,
and it never will. That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.
But you are not controlled by your sinful nature.
You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you.
(And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)
And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin,
the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. The Spirit of God,
who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead,
he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.
Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to
do what your sinful nature urges you to do.
For if you live by its dictates, you will die.
But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature,
you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
The nature of man is sinful and corrupted. That can control your mind,
and it will lead you to death. When the spirit of God controls your mind,
it will lead you to peace and Joy. If you don’t have the holy spirit when you read the bible,
you won’t understand it. In fact, you might arrive at the conclusion that God hates you.
You need the holy spirit to please God God wants us to live a life in the spirit.
If you live a live outside the spirit, you are going to arrive at decisions that don’t please God.
We must not conform with the world. Let the holy spirit control your mind.
